General Donations

In a previous year, just before 'tax-time' we opened the mail one day and were amazed to discover a donation of $2,500 from a AAFCD member who simply included a note saying that she and her husband greatly appreciated the work we did 'fighting the good fight' on behalf of families of children with a disability.

While the member did request an official receipt for tax purposes (all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible) they indicated that they had no need for any formal public recognition for the donation.

Not everybody has a spare $2,500 to donate to a worthy charitable cause such as ours, but if you are a AAFCD member or supporter and you'd like to make a donation of any amount, it will be greatly appreciated.

Lots of little donation will make a huge difference. For example, if 500 members were to donate $20 each, that would be $10,000.

You can make a donation at the same time you join as a member using the membership form attached to our pamphlet or simply post details of your donation (cheque or credit card details) to our office at Suite 2 , 98 Morang Rd Hawthorn Vic 3122.
