Other Donations

Birthday parties, funerals and bequests. These are three sources of other donations that our Association has received in recent years.

In one case, a mum directed attendees of her 50th birthday party to provide us with a donation instead of buying her a present. The result was a donation of $950.

On another occasion, following the death of a child with a disability, the parents directed that in lieu of flowers at the funeral that people provide a donation to our Association. Via direct donations from the funeral and other follow-up donations from people associated with the family, we finished up receiving a substantial donation of several thousand dollars.

We are regularly contacted by people wishing to include a bequest to our Association in their Will, and we are pleased to assist these inquiries with appropriate advice as required by the will-makers.
